First birthday portraits are such a fun milestone to photograph, especially when you have a little one with such an adorable personality! She was full of smiles and adorable expressions, and I loved capturing her in her one-year-old outfit. Her parents were loving and engaged with her, and there were so many little moments between them that felt so special.
After more than a decade of photographing babies and families, I love this age because you can really start to see a child’s personality coming through. First birthday photos are about so much more than the birthday outfit or getting the perfect smile—they’re about remembering who your little one was at one year old, the expressions they made, the way they interacted with you, and all those little details that change so quickly.
