I loved capturing this family maternity session—just a few weeks before their new baby arrives. They brought along their adorable little boy (who made the session so much fun) and their dog, which always adds an extra layer of adorableness and charm to a session.
The weather that evening was a bit unpredictable, with rain on and off, but we managed to time everything just right and squeeze the session in between the drops. Those soft, cloudy skies gave us beautiful light, and everything felt calm and relaxed. We were able to capture so many beautiful bump photos along with some playful, candid moments that really reflect this stage of life for this sweet family.
There’s something so meaningful about documenting this time right before a new baby arrives—the anticipation, the excitement, and all the little moments in between. I’m so happy we were able to make it happen despite the weather, and I know these images will be such a special way for them to remember this chapter. Thinking about booking a maternity or newborn session? It’s never too early! I suggest booking your maternity session in your first trimester and your newborn session in your second trimester to guarantee that I can photograph your family.
